Why I don't want a permanent covering on my arch window:

Very pretty.

My arched window faces north or I'd have to cover it. Not much to see through mine either, but I do like having one.

Mine faces pretty close to due East so I get the morning sun smack in my face as soon as it clears the trees. It's taken me this long to find a window covering that will block it so I can sleep, but when it's open it's nearly unnoticeable. Hopefully I'll have it in the next few weeks so I won't be awakened at 7am by OMG HOT!!! BRIGHT!!! AAACK!!

One drawback to having all those nice big windows that face East and West -- the sun is very hot and bright coming through them, and yet I want to be able to look out of them when the sun isn't hitting them directly.

The last picture looks like what Saruman would see when the Ents overrun Isengard.

Oooooo!

Hold on...

*checks to see if the tree line has moved*

Whew! That could well be what trees look like when they're all fired up!

Très joli!

You successfully took a picture of last night's moon! I never managed it;)

The amazing thing, to me anyway, is that all these pictures were taken from the head of my bed across the room!

Ooooooooooh! Yeah, I can see why you don't want to cover that up.
